HireCade runs hiring products for employers and career tools for candidates: an applicant tracking system, AI screening interviews, a resume builder, a community, and paid courses. This policy explains what personal information we collect across hirecade.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
If you use HireCade as a candidate, most of the information we hold comes from you: your profile, your resume, your applications, and your interview answers. If you use HireCade as an employer, we also process information about the candidates who apply to your jobs, and we do that on your behalf.
We collect the information below. Not all of it applies to every person, since it depends on which parts of HireCade you use.
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another region with similar rules, we rely on the following legal bases.
We and our service providers operate in several countries, including the United States. When we move personal information out of the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision covering the receiving country.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Interview recordings, transcripts, and results are kept while they are relevant to your applications and to the employers you shared them with. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Community posts stay published until you delete them.
When you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal information unless we are required to keep it. Backups are cleared on a rolling schedule, so a copy may persist for a short period after deletion.
We serve the site over HTTPS, store files with established cloud providers, restrict internal access to the people who need it, and rely on Google Firebase for authentication so that passwords are never handled by our own systems. No service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us straight away if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. We will not treat you differently for using them.
To use any of these rights, email us at the address below. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we aim to respond within one month.
When you post jobs, review candidates, or run interviews through HireCade, you decide why and how candidate information is used, and we process that information for you under our agreement with you. You are responsible for telling candidates how you use their information, for keeping candidate records only as long as you need them, and for handling requests that candidates send you directly.
HireCade is built for people looking for work and for the companies hiring them, and it is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Our pages link to job boards, company sites, and other resources we do not control. Once you follow a link, the privacy policy of that site applies, so it is worth reading it before you share anything.
We update this policy when our product or our providers change. The date at the top of the page always shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.
For anything about this policy, your information, or a request to access or delete your data, email privacy@hirecade.com. Please tell us which email address your account uses so we can find your records.
